Quick start

Inspect one track

  1. Insert PSYSCOPE on an audio track in your DAW.
  2. Open its editor and start playback with audio reaching the plugin.
  3. Select the sound's button to inspect it individually.
  4. Open the duration control and choose Synced mode and a suitable beat interval.
  5. Open the channel control and choose L or R for a single channel, or LR to compare both.

For a short drum loop, a beat-synchronized view helps you compare the positions of transients across repetitions. Switch to Hz mode when you want to inspect a repeating cycle instead.

Compare tracks

Add PSYSCOPE to another track in the same host plugin environment. Choose layers to overlay the sounds, or stack to separate them vertically. Click a sound button when you need to inspect just that sound.

If an expected sound does not appear, check that audio reaches its instance, that it belongs to the group you are viewing and that its sound is enabled. A host that isolates plugin instances into separate processes may prevent them from sharing a comparison workspace.

Inspect a moment

Click freeze to hold the captured waveform. Examine it, then click freeze again to resume buffering. Freezing the display does not stop your DAW's transport.

To explore frequency content, use the mouse wheel over FFT to cycle through waveform, combined and spectrum views. Left-click FFT to open its settings.
