First steps

Start with audible input

Use PsyPhaZ on an audio track with a repeating sound. Play the track and check the input/output controls and scope. Begin at a comfortable listening level.

Hover over controls to read their descriptions in the bottom console. This is especially useful for controls that support different mouse buttons.

Try one processor

  1. Select Freq in the curve selector.
  2. Enable its on/off control if disabled.
  3. Make a small change to the curve. In Freq, the curve controls spectral gain across frequency.
  4. Compare with that processor disabled, then enabled again.
  5. Adjust its dry/wet contribution with the selector control.

Keep other processors disabled while learning a page. Read Phase and Freq to distinguish frequency-response and phase-response curves.

Add movement

Select and enable Lfo 1, then edit its curve. Choose its timing from the source timing control in the right panel. Enable a route in the Lfo1 column of the matrix and adjust the cell's upper and lower limits. See Sources and Matrix.

Keep the result

Use W in the program toolbar to save a program. Use a Switcher slot to keep a variation for comparison. A slot and a program file serve different purposes; see Presets and Switcher.
